What are minerals? .

Minerals are the elements, the very same that is seen in the periodic table in high school chemistry books, viz. chromium, magnesium, iron, zinc, nickel, sodium, cadmium, phosphorus, etc. In fact, the entire universe, the earth, everything on it comprises of what is known as minerals or elements.

Our body is truly a master piece formed from these very same elements. Needless to say, the body constantly replenishes the same for its proper growth and functioning.

Lack of these minerals or elements, the body, goes without saying, comes to a standstill. All systems, such as our neurological, lymphatic, muscular, digestive, respiratory, reproductive, etc., will collapse. The bio-electrical impulses occurring within our body at every moment which is responsible for heartbeat, lung functioning, is only possible if proper balance of minerals are continually being supplied to our body, i.e. iron to carry oxygen to all our cells, sulphur for our muscles, calcium for our bones and battery of other elements in a balanced trace amount, helps the complex genetic functioning at the cellular level. Even a minute change in the normal mineral composition within the cell leads to a profound physiological disorder. Hence, the person suffering from mineral deficiency is subjected to what is known as CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome).

Types of Minerals
A). Macro Minerals- These are the minerals required in more or large quantity for the proper bio-functioning of the body.

B). Micro Minerals- These are the minerals though in very small quantity i.e. in traces but required essentially.
